In recent memory, Tacloban was heavily devastated by typhoon Yolanda in 2013 taking the lives of 6000 people. Despite the horrific catastrophe, Tacloban has since slowly gotten back on its feet. In fact, a new Passenger Terminal and Control Tower is currently under construction which is also reflected on this scenery.
