The 2026 edition features approximately 600 custom building models, doubling the number included in the original version. More than 100 models have been extensively reworked, while almost all textures have been upgraded to improve visual quality and realism. Thousands of autogen buildings have also been enhanced using AI-assisted techniques, creating a more complete and immersive representation of Hong Kong.
This edition introduces additional landmarks, enhanced night lighting, and improved visual effects that bring the city to life after sunset. Optimized models and expanded LOD implementation help provide smoother performance and make the scenery more frame-rate friendly.
HONG KONG CITY TIMES 2026 is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and includes a toggleable Kai Tak redevelopment area. Users can disable this area when using a third-party Kai Tak Airport add-on, offering greater flexibility and compatibility. Whether flying over Victoria Harbour during the day or approaching the illuminated skyline at night, HONG KONG CITY TIMES 2026 delivers a more detailed, vibrant, and immersive Hong Kong experience.
