Betong International Airport (IATA: BTZ, ICAO: VTSY) is the 29th airport of the Department of Airports and the 39th in Thailand. It is located at 125 Moo 8, Yarom Subdistrict, Betong District, Yala Province, approximately 10 kilometers northeast of Betong town. It covers an area of 147 hectares. The runway can accommodate 80-seat aircraft. The passenger terminal can accommodate 300 passengers per hour or 800,000 passengers per year.
Betong International Airport began construction on 8 December 2017 and was completed in early 2020 and has been opened for official flights. and private flights continued It received its Public Airport Operations Certificate on 28 January 2022 and made its maiden flight as a charter flight to test commercial flights on 29 January 2022 and officially opened for service on 14 March 2022 with its first scheduled commercial flight.
