Discover Svalbard Longyear (ENSB)
Svalbard Airport, Longyear sits at 78° north on the shore of Adventfjorden, just outside the town of Longyearbyen. It's the northernmost airport in the world with scheduled flights, with regular services to mainland Norway. It's used by tourists, researchers and the rescue helicopters based on the field.
This package covers the airport and the area around it for X-Plane 12. That includes the terminal and every building around the apron, the ground equipment, the markings, and the town of Longyearbyen next door. The models are based on real photos, and the airport layout follows the official AIP. Underneath it all is a custom terrain mesh for Svalbard, made from Norwegian Polar Institute aerial imagery and elevation data. The fjord, the valleys and the mountains along the approach all sit where they should.
