Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, commonly known as Porto Airport, is the main international gateway serving the city of Porto in northern Portugal and is located about 11 kilometers (7 miles) northwest of the city center. Named after former Portuguese prime minister Francisco Sá Carneiro, the airport is one of the country’s busiest air hubs and a major base for several European airlines, especially low-cost carriers.
